When we talk about Indian jewellery we usually miss out on Kundan and Meenkari jewellery. As many people in India usually buy jewellery for wedding purpose keeping in mind of buying plain gold heavy necklaces as it is more glittery and a good future investment, but forgetting the beauty and craftsmanship of Indian Kundan and Meenakari jewellery.

Since now gold has been increasing it has become difficult for the common man to buy jewellery for luxury and style purpose which has lead behind the art and beauty of our Kundan meena jewellery. We at Girdharil Lal Co thought of bringing back the blast from the past as we have got this beautiful piece of necklace similar to Kundan jewellery at a reasonable price for you. This Necklace is made with Silver foil and real pearls, gold plating is done over it. Behind is the meena/enamel work done in green & red.

The making of Kundan jewellery started in the Mughal era around the 16th century in India as the kings too were found of wearing jewellery, they wanted a different kind of jewellery for their women, so the Indian craft's men created a new piece of art with their skills hands for their emperors.

Kundan jewellery is hand made with pure gold foil & stones which are embedded onto the wax such as diamonds, crystals, rubies and emeralds etc. Usually Meenkari work is done behind the jewellery piece. Meena work is the enamel mineral substance paint art work .The meenkari work on the jewellery is done in such a way that it gives an impression of studded stones. Meenkari work is done both in Gold and Silver jewellery. Silver meenakari jewellery has also become very popular in the recent times in Rajasthan and parts of Bihar.
